SUBMISSIONS OVERVIEW

The University of Hawaiʻi Law Review publishes Articles, Comments, and Casenotes.  Articles should advance a particular area of legal scholarship beyond its current state, make a persuasive argument, and provide meaningful evidence for each of its conclusions.  Comments should present a concise, yet original, argument and have minimal literature review.  Comments typically, but not necessarily, respond to recent development in the law including cases, legislation, law review articles, and administrative rulings. Casenotes should argue a clear thesis and present an analysis of the significance and or implications of a specific case. All submissions must conform to the 21st edition of the Bluebook.

The University of Hawaiʻi Law Review generally reviews submissions on a rolling basis.  Once Articles and Comments have been accepted to complete the current issue, the Law Review may cease accepting submissions for that issue or offer publication in the following issue.
